A Discount can be created to offer a reduction of price for certain order conditions.

Requirements

• Access to Discount Resource

Properties

• Basic Information

  • Name - Name of Discount given by user

  • Project* - The project this Discount belongs to

  • Status* - Status

  • Start Date - Date when this Discount becomes effective, leaves blank to start immediately

  • End Date - Date when this Discount becomes ineffective, leaves blank to run without ending

• Discount Type

  • Type - Type of Discount

• Conditions

  • Type - Type of condition to be satisfied in order to apply this Discount for an Order

Remarks

• When a Discount is applied, an order item with type = Discount will be automatically added to the Order. Discount order items cannot override by user manually.

• The system may apply multiple discounts, as long as their conditions are met. Be cautious if your discounts will trigger simultaneously.

Discount Type

The discount type determine how the discount amount to be calculated.

Fixed Amount

A fixed amount to be subtracted from the order.

Example: USD $10 off.

Item Amount Percentage

A percentage discount apply to specific products.

Example: 5% off for Apple Pie.

Order Amount Percentage

A percentage discount apply to the order amount.

Example: 10% off on the order value.

Conditions

A discount condition dictates whenever an order satisfies it’s condition for the discount to be applied. If multiple conditions defined, all conditions will need to met.

Max Number Of Use

Limit use of this discount to certain number of use.

Example: USD $10 off, for a maximum of 100 orders.

Min Order Value

Apply this discount when order amount is greater than or equals to certain amount.

Example: USD $10 off, when spending USD $100 or more in single order.

Min Product Quantity

Apply this discount when specific product quantity is greater than or equals to certain amount.

Example: USD $10 off, when purchase 2 or more Apple Pie.
